What I Read - August 2022
We moved at the end of this month so I didn't really get much reading done after the first few weeks.
The Scarpetta Factor (Kay Scarpetta #17) by Patricia Cornwell
Mark and I are still on the Scarpetta train, though it gets harder and harder to struggle through as the books go on. The stories get more wacky and stuffed full of characters. And I swear, she's living somewhere else in every book. This one is no exception. The expert medical examiner is now living in Boston but is mostly located in New York City as a freelancer to the city government. The center of so many of these novels has been obsession and we're back at it in The Scarpetta Factor in case you didn't glean that from the name. I wished I would have stopped this series about 10 books ago, but here we are.
